Scunthorpe Solicitors Goes From Strength To Strength

Scunthorpe-based BRR Law are making it their mission to provide excellent internal career development for staff.

The upcoming months will bring exciting developments for BRR Law.

One of BRR Law’s Trainee Solicitors Rachael McCarthy, who joined the team in August 2017, will shortly complete her Training Contract and will very soon be able to apply to be admitted to the Roll of Solicitors.

During her Training Contract, Rachael has worked in the firm’s expanding and highly regarded Family Law department under the supervision of Head of Department Sue Rands. She has gained experience dealing with a range of cases including care proceedings, divorce, financial settlements and private children disputes. Rachael will be continuing to practice in this area of law on qualification as an Associate Solicitor.

Rachael is one of two trainees currently undertaking a Training Contract at the firm. Leanne Stefanovic was offered her training contract in March this year after being recognised for her outstanding work ethic and her commitment to providing an excellent service to clients. She works in the firm’s Conveyancing department, acting for clients buying, selling and re-mortgaging properties.

We are also delighted to announce that three members of our team have now been accepted on to the Solicitors Apprentice Scheme. Introduced in 2015, the scheme was developed as part of a government programme to reform and improve apprenticeships. It offers an alternative way to qualify as a Solicitor.

Beth Green, Roxanne Butters and Danielle Watson have all been enrolled on the scheme, which will commence in September this year. A fantastic achievement for all of them and another demonstration of the way BRR Law looks to develop our staff from within.

Victoria Norman, Partner said, “BRR Law aims to provide the best service to our clients and recognises the key to this is the people we employ. We are therefore dedicated to investing in the training and development of our staff”.

BRR Law, previously named, Quality Solicitors Bradbury, Roberts and Raby, went through a full company rebrand in May 2019 and have recently received their Re-Accreditation to the Law Society Excellence in Legal Practice Management and client care. With this acknowledgement in customer care and these incredible internal promotions – the company continues to grow and go from strength to strength.
