Prior to my employment with the firm, I worked at my local hospital for 4 years, during which time I achieved an NVQ 2 in Business and Administration and a variety of other secretarial qualifications.
Over the years I’ve gained a significant amount of knowledge in different areas of the law, which makes the role really interesting.
I’m now responsible for providing administration and secretarial support to Partner, Ian Horner, who is head of the above departments, in addition to Associate Solicitors, Jennifer Mitchell and Richard Watts.
My duties involve the typing up of legal documents, audio typing, answering the phone, organising diaries, preparing Court forms and general administration.
The job can be challenging, but the satisfaction of managing a variety of duties mean that no two days are the same!
In addition to administration, I also enjoy engaging with our clients to make appointments and, whether it’s to discuss a contract of employment, explore a faulty product claim, or seek advice on dental medical negligence, you’ll find me approachable, friendly and someone who will go the extra mile to help you.
In my spare time I enjoy road running with the local running club, competing in races alongside spending time with my family and friends.
