I am a Trainee Solicitor based within the Personal Injury, Medical Negligence and Employment Law Departments at BRR Law and have over 17 years of experience working within the legal industry initially starting my career as an Office Junior.

Prior to joining the firm in February 2021, I have worked for small and larger firms of Solicitors based in Hull and York gaining experience in different areas of law including Family, Commercial Property, Real Estate and Residential Conveyancing. However, my interest in Personal Injury and Civil Litigation began in 2009 when I worked for a specialist firm within a multi-track team where I gained experience predominantly with catastrophic injury and industrial disease claims and where I remained until 2015.

In 2019 I completed my LLB Law at the University of Hull and immediately after went on to complete a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice and Crime Control.

I am grateful for the opportunity to be the first in the firm to sit the Solicitors Qualifying Examinations (SQE) in 2022; this being the new innovative method of becoming a fully qualified Solicitor as introduced by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Upon successful completion I am looking forward to being submitted to the role of Solicitors of England and Wales, fulfilling a lifelong career aspiration.

Day to day, I am supervised by the firm’s Partner and Head of Personal Injury, Medical Negligence and Employment Law Departments; Ian Horner. I assist all fee earners within the Departments with the management and progression of their cases and able to deal with any client queries and/or provide advice where required.

I pride myself in ensuring our clients are kept fully informed throughout the process and being a friendly, helpful and approachable person who they can rely on to support them through their case.

Away from the office, I have a daughter and step-daughter and enjoy spending quality time with them and my family. I enjoy travelling and culture and try to holiday somewhere different each time. It is a big world after all!
