I am a Paralegal within the Employment Law, Personal Injury and Medical Negligence Departments at BRR Law and I joined the firm in May 2016.
I was born in Yorkshire and moved to Scunthorpe when I was 6 years of age. I completed my LLB Law degree at Sheffield Hallam University in 2015 and then went on to complete my Legal Practice Course and Msc Law and Business at the University of Law in Leeds.
I assist within all aspects of Employment Law, which gives Employees and Employers advice in relation to their rights and entitlements.
For Employees this includes Settlement or Compromise Agreements, Employment Contracts, Unfair Dismissal Claims, Discrimination at Work, Redundancy, Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures, Employment Tribunal Claims
For Employers this includes Business Transfers, Employment Documentation & Policies, Employment Tribunals, Human Resources, Legal Health check for Businesses , Employment Tribunal Claims and Restructuring & Redundancy.
In addition I assist Partner and Head of the Employment Law Department, Ian Horner, in the running of the firm’s HR Advice Service for businesses, where I can support you in the management of your staff.
I also handle client enquiries for the Personal Injury and Medical Negligence Departments.
Since starting at the company, I have worked on over 200 files. I spend 60% of my time on Employment and the rest on Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence files.

Outside of work I am a mother to three young children and in my spare time (if you wish to call it that) I might be watching Peppa Pig and the odd Nursery Rhyme.
